WHO WE ARE
Institute of Wireless Communication (WiCon) and Intelligent Networks (DFKI)
We are an interdisciplinary research group at TU Kaiserslautern and DFKI (Deutsche Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz GmbH), devoted to projects at the convergence of wireless technologies, artificial intelligence, future networking solutions.

Courses
We are offering bachelor and masters level courses mainly in the area of wireless communication and networking. We also organize interdisciplinary courses in collaboration with other departments at the university.
People
Teamwork is at the heart of our research and education methodology. We encourage and support a close collaboration between our researchers and the students. We are offering research mentorship to interested students.
Projects
Our group actively participates in different ICT project with strong focus on research and next generation wireless technologies. We have multiple ongoing projects in the federal level as well as EU projects involving international partners and leading telco providers.

Research
Our group has a diverse area of research with active interaction with industrial partners. 5G technologies, SDN, NFV, Massive M2X communication, next generation wireless security are some areas to mention. We are also exploring innovative applications of machine learning in the area of networking and industrial automation.
