Electrical Drive Technology I / Electrical Drive Systems for Mechanical Engineers
The aim of this lecture is to convey knowledge in the following areas:
- Most important functional groups of electrical drive systems
- Describing the movement process of a drive in time
- Project planning for electric drives based on the operating mode or load cycle
- Power electronic circuit technology for DC and AC drives
- Modelling of conventional drives with direct current and three-phase asynchronous machines as well as describing of the stationary operating behaviour
- Modelling of converter-fed drives with direct current and three-phase asynchronous machines as well as describing of the stationary operating behaviour
- Circuit technology for DC and AC drives with regard to starting, speed setting/speed control and braking
The following content is presented:
- Development of electrical drive technology
- Recent development trends
- Functional groups of electrical drive systems
