2003 Appointment as Professor and Head of Institute of Integrated Sensor Systems, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, TU Kaiserslautern. Research activities and interests in the field of multisensor system application and integration with a particular focus on the exploitation of bio-inspiration for aspects of adaptation, fault tolerance and learning capability for sensor systems as well as reconfigurable mixed-signal electronics, Organic Computing and Ambient Intelligence.
