Special Events
Young people often choose traditionally gender-specific professions. With the "Schülerinnentag" we aim at extending the range of career choices of girls / young women, since they are underrepresented in most engineering and some scientific degree programmes that can be studied at the university. Besides the precise information of the various alternatives, this event also offers the opportunity to become aware of their own skills through practical experience.
The "Technotag" is an information event giving you a taste of the studies and research work at the University of Kaiserslautern. You can attend exciting presentations by researchers as well as workshops on interesting topics from science and industry. Participation at the Technotag is free.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern has set up a lab for pupils mid-2003. The aim of the laboratory is to introduce physics to the pupils, especially electrical and eomputer engineering and to encourage them to independent experiencing and experimenting.
